Roslan’s primary research interests are in Development Economics and Social Economics. His specific research interests are analysis of poverty and income distribution; nationalism and development; microfinance; social capital and quality of life.He has published his research in numerous journals including European Journal of Development Research, European Journal of Tourism Research, ASEAN Journal of Tourism and Hospitality, Humanity and Social Science Journal, European Journal of Social Sciences, International Journal of Development Studies, European Journal of Economics, Finance and Administrative Sciences, and Asian Profile.
